Shawn Fincher Benefit
October 29, 2011

JMP helped hold a Silent Auction on Saturday October 29, 2011 for
Shawn Fincher. The silent auction took place at
Three Palms Action Sports Park in Conroe, TX during the AMA State Final District Championship
.

Shawn is a 19 year old rider from Houston, TX that suffered brain swelling, dislocated hip and broken femur as the result of the crash on May 19 of this year.  After the accident test revealed that he had bleeding on his brain so they removed the left side of his skull to relieve the pressure
and after two weeks that was successful in getting him stable.

Shawn is currently working on getting better while suffering vision loss of 80% in both eyes but he still continues to fight back on his road to recovery. Shawn’s family has  incurred over 1 million dollars in medical bills so we at the James Marshall Project are working with the “Stay Strong Shawn” team to help not only raise some funds but also the awareness of head trauma at the benefit.

Houston  & Dallas Supercross
Febauary & March 2011

The Houston and Dallas Supercross are in the books now. All we can say is WOW! We have not seen close racing like this in years. These two events were the fist time JMP has had a presents in the AMA pits. We learned a lot while having a great time. James was on his "A" game. He picked up a lot of gear from the top pros, and we will have them eBay soon. Below are few pictures from the pits.

We here at the foundation can't say enough about the support and donations we have been getting. We want everyone to know James is starting to see his dream come true. We still have a ways to go, but we are on our way.

James Hand Cycles with M4M
Febauary 2011

M4M was great! I honestly expected to a bit off pace but i got out on the open road and Corey, Jimmy's Trainer, trailed me and I was right on. Though we did have a tail wind, it was fantasic!  the freedom of open road, next best thing to cycling and with a great group of regular guys that want to help find the cure just as bad as us! We were about 15 min in and was getting a low tire so we went approx 4M then we noticed a tire was LOW and I was beginning to get a sore from my leg's bouncing against the gear shifter. Overall I am happy with my performance but not with end result. Though I have no control over a flat, you always want that sweet taste of victory. But I do look forward to this warm weather and sunshine and just summer in general.

Below are few pictures from James training for the ride time spent with Jimmy Button. To learn more about M4M click the link on the top right of this page.

Randy Childers Benefit
August 2010

Randy Childers was not only a great racer but a good friend of James. When Randy was injured while leading the "450 A" class at a Loretta Lynn Qualifier James knew this where to start the James Marshall Project. We had many people and companies come out to support the benefit which was held at the opening round of the "2010 Outlaw452 Main Event Series".

At the end of the day $4,000 was raised by everyone and given to Randy to help cover his medical expenses.
